LeBron Raymone James Sr. born on December 30, 1984 is an American professional basket ball player, who plays for the Los Angeles Lakers (NBA). Nicknamed King James he is widely thought of as one of the most successful players of all time and is often compared to Michael Jordan in debates over the greatest basketball player ever. James has taken home four NBA championships, four NBA MVP Awards, Four NBA Finals MVP awards three All-Star MVP awards and two Olympic gold medals. James has the highest points during the playoffs, and has the second highest number of career points and is the seventh player with the most career assists. He was named an NBA All-Star 18 times to the All-NBA Team a record 18 times, and was named to the NBA All-Defensive First Team five times. He's played in 10 NBA Finals the third most of all time, with eight games in succession between 2011 and 2018. James made part of the NBA 75th Anniversary Team in 2021. In 2022, James became the very first NBA player to reach 10,000 career points. James was a basketball player at St. Vincent St. Mary High in Akron Ohio, where he was raised. The national media praised James as a future NBA star. In preparation for his professional career it was the Cleveland Cavaliers chose him as the top pick in the NBA draft of 2003. He was voted the NBA rookie of the year in 2004. He soon became one of the best players of the NBA, winning both the NBA MVP Award twice in 2009 and 2010. James joined Miami Heat in 2010 when the team became a free agent following his inability to win a Championship with Cleveland. The news was broadcast on The Decision.
